So I have been so so so bad at keeping up this blog it is actually embarrassing! But I promise to do better this year ( ok so I will TRY). LOL
We have been so busy with the farm its hard to do anything but work work and more work.
So far this year we have had two sets of twin goat kids born and more on the way. Have i mentioned how cute baby goats are??? We have had one set of boer does and a set of nubian does so far with more kiddings soon like one doe is due tomorrow. We have also had two litters of bunnies this year already and more on the way. But today I was looking for ideas on how to make my own healthy utter balm for my milk goats. I found this super easy formula that I want to share with you.
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup shea butter
20 drops peppermint essential oil
20 drops melaleuca (tea tree) essential oil
20 drops lavender essential oil
Use a double broiler and combine the cocnut oil and shea butter mixing until melted. remove from heat and stir in the essential oils then place in the fridge for a quick cool down. once it is soft take your hand mixer and mix until it is soft and will be easy to scoop out of a jar.
Easy Peasy!
